Accessing the Gallery
Open the main window by clicking the tray icon or launching the app. The Gallery tab is the default view.
Features
1. Chronological View
Images are sorted by date, with the newest captures at the top. The new filename format (11-jan-2026 08-16-35 am.png) makes it easy to read when a screenshot was taken.
2. Search
Use the search bar at the top to filter images by:
- Filename
- Description/Note content
3. Managing Images
Hover over any image card to reveal action buttons:
- Copy: Copy the image to clipboard again.
- Edit Note: Add a multi-line description to search for later.
- Rename: Change the filename.
- Delete: Remove the image permanently.
4. Bulk Actions
(Coming in v0.5.0)
Multi-select capability is currently in development to allow you to delete or move multiple images at once.
File Storage
Your images are stored safely on your local disk:
- Directory:
~/.screention/screenshots/
- Format: PNG
You can click the “Open Folder” button in the sidebar to view the files directly in your system’s file explorer.
