# Settings

> Customize Screention to fit your needs

Access the Settings page by clicking the **Settings** tab in the main window sidebar.

## Startup Behavior

* **Launch at startup**: Toggle this **ON** to have Screention start automatically when you log in.
* The app starts in a "hidden" state, minimized to your system tray, ready to capture.

## Global Hotkey

Customize the key combination used to trigger a screenshot.

1. Click the **Change** button (Lime green).
2. The input field will flash "Press keys...".
3. Press your desired combination (e.g., `Ctrl` + `Shift` + `S`).
   * *Note: You must include at least one non-modifier key.*
4. Release the keys to save.

Your custom hotkey is **saved automatically** and will persist even after you restart the application.
